Notes:
The fourth unit in the six ship Vision class. Enchantment of the Seas and her sister Granduer of the Seas were built by Kavaerner Masa, now known as Akers. The first two and final two units were built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique. Closer in design to Vision and Rhapsody of the Seas due to not being built for speed, you can recognize them by the Royal Caribbean logo attached to a sponsor located between the aft exhast stack and the Viking Crown Lounge.

Enchantment and Granduer of the Seas were the first two ships to have been equiped with a GPS based Dynamic Positioning System. Non-GPS based systems had been used for many years prior to this.

In 2005 Enchantment of the Seas was quickly taken out of service, and pushed through a radical expansion. It was the first time Royal Caribbean expanded one of its ships since doing the same thing to Song of Norway and Nordic Prince in the late 1970s. However, in this case, the expansion was to a ship more than three times bigger, and included features which could not have been imagined in the '70s. 73 feet in length was added amidships, which allowed for 151 new cabins. Enchantment of the Seas received trampolines on the forward deck above the bridge.
