Does anyone know if Stateroom 8443 on Explorer of the Seas has a sofa bed? I can't tell if the third bed is a sofa bed or a pull down bed.

I'll dig into that tonight, as I'm away from my resources at the moment. I'd wager, unless its a larger cabin, that its a pull-down bed. I'd seen some of those near my own cabin on her. Yours is very very close to where I was in '01.
Unless one of our friendly TA types would like to illuminate us.

Any time you see a cabin with an * symbol, that's a third pullman bed. That's what this cabin has.

I recall reading the pullmen beds don't have railings to keep from falling out of bed. Not sure if that is true, it seems counter to logic in my view.
Not that the ships really rock that much, but that is besides the point. I couldn't see putting my little girl or boy up there unless there were a bit more protection.

You are correct. No railings. RCCL does not recommend this berth for children under the age of six accordingly.
