Word is out, that Royal Caribbean has reached an agreement on terms of ordering a fourth unit in the Freedom class.

The ship is scheduled to enter service in the latter half of 2011. This would likely mean she will be built in Turku, following the second Genesis unit enters service.

I've heard some question a fourth unit, but the Voyager family is proving highly successful.

What should they name it, I wonder?

They should name it Nikki of the Seas and I should have a permanent home in a grand suite on it.

Let's hope the RCL suits do NOT propose another name contest. I monitored the USA Today progress on it and it seem that it generated quite a bit of frustration with the faithful...

Oasis of the Seas isn't a bad name, but it lacks the catchy sound of Voyager or Freedom. Still, the name does fit, trees, grass, etc, its an Oasis alright.

I'm excited to see it finished though, I figure on picking up coverage of it as soon as we get closer to float-out.

I like Oasis of the Seas but I can't remember what I had submitted. Needless to say I didn't win.
