San Diego? 3 Months ago Karma: -1
Anybody sailed out of San Diego before? I'm not aware of many, if anybody, having staged ships out of there before. I read the city is preparing to build a new, modern facility there, and RCI will stage a ship out of the town. But its been a long while since I lived out there, and I wouldn't know if there was a long history in the past, of ships leaving from there.

I have cruised out of San Diego several times, the terminal is down by the convention center. Checking in is easy, however arriving by any form of transportation is a little time consumming, just not enough space, especially if another ship is in and boarding the same day. I haven't heard anything about the building of a new terminal, however I don't live in San Diego.

I have arrived in San diego from a panama cruise on Radiance in '06. It then was doing Hawaii out of this port for awhile. The terminal is visable from the Airport. I visited a freind last June and saw a Carnival ship in.
