Oasis of the Seas. 2 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: -1
Its the day after, and the impact of yesterdays reveal is still bouncing around my head. At first, the details were a bit overwhelming. But I can really see how this ship will still feel open and not crowded. Even with 5400 passengers, there are simply so many places to go, it shouldn't feel cramped at all.

RCI has a long history, dating back to Sovereign of the Seas, of hard study of traffic flow and such. And my own experience on Liberty demonstrated that the extra space, applied to an already solid design, really does spread the crowds out.

And we haven't even seen the spa, workout, pool deck, and studio B areas in detail. There is a lot to come.

It is amazing how they at once have added a lot, yet kept it familiar. It remains solidly grounded as an evolutionary step, albeit it a grand one.

RCI is getting so far ahead of pack in design, it really is making Carnivals approach look sadly dated. Despite having many more people on board, you will not feel the crowd, much as I find to be the case on the Freedom class. Big, yes. But the traffic flow on that class, even more than with Voyager, is very smooth and disperse.

Yes, RCI has been ahead of Carnivore and the other operators for many years. And yes, I do prefer the Freedom class compared to the Voyagers.
