Back from Navigator, and the News Rolls On.

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

Ah to cruise! With untold notes and stories to tell, I’m happy to be standing a post here at RCI Fan once more.

The cruise on Navigator of the Seas was without question the best I’ve enjoyed on Royal Caribbean. I’ll be breaking down the cruise into blog entries, and finally a large scale review similar to that which I did for Sovereign of the Seas in 1999.

In the meantime, there is news……

Royal Caribbean announced it will become the first cruise line to eliminate Trans Fats from food served on board. This follows many land based restaurants and fast food establishments taking similar action.

It was also announced that the family of a man who vanished from an RCI ship, leading to various Nancy Grace news bits, and a lawsuit by the man’s wife, has had it’s own suite dismissed with prejudice. In short, their attempt to extort money from RCI has been thrown out of court and barring an appeal, can not be attempted again. This means the judge doesn’t see any valid grounds for the family to sue RCI. This should help throw a bucket of cold water onto others who might seek to sue cruise lines in general, for any number of frivolous purposes.
